SiliconCFO matches companies seeking professional services from experienced and pre-vetted candidates such as Chief Financial Officers (“CFOs”), Chief Operating Officers (“COOs”), Chief Techology Officer (“CTOs”), etc. These professionals are engaged on a part-time basis according to our client’s needs and resources and billed on either a monthly or hourly basis. Our online platform connects clients and our candidate talent pool for specific projects.
WHAT INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We collect information about you in a range of ways.
Information You Give Us. We collect your name, postal address, email address, phone number, fax number, username, password, demographic information (such as your gender and occupation) as well as other information you directly give us on our Site or through the Services, such as when you open an account with us or submit an application online to be considered for our candidate talent pool, as described below:
Account Registration – For companies seeking to engage one of our candidates, it is necessary that an authorized representative(s) create an account with us. To open an account, you will need to provide your name, email address, telephone number, title, company name and address, billing address and payment information. You will also be asked to create a unique ID and password to access your account. Payments are processed by our payment provider. We do not store credit card or address information.
Applicants for Our Candidate Talent Pool – Individuals seeking to be considered for our candidate talent pool, you will need to provide certain Personal Information, including your name, address, email address, telephone number, work history (in a resume or CV), industry sector experience, recommendations, social media links, and the like. Please be advised that this information will be shared with client companies that are seeking to engage a candidate for a specific project. Accepted candidates will then be asked to open an account and create an individual profile that will be viewable by our client companies.
Background Checks. For all applicants, we will take steps to verify your identity and conduct a criminal background check. We will share your Personal Information with vendors and third-party providers to obtain these services.
Information Automatically Collected. We automatically log information about you and your device. For example, when visiting our Site or using the Services, we collect your device’s IP address (and corresponding geographic region), operating system type, browser type, browser language, the website you visited before browsing to our Site (if any), pages you viewed, how long you spent on a page, access times and information about your use of and actions on our Site or Services. We do not associate this statistical information with your Personal Information that we otherwise may collect. Also, we may use third party analytics providers to help us understand and use this statistical data to improve the Site and Services.
Cookies and other Tracking Technologies. We may collect information about using “cookies” and other tracking technologies. Cookies are small data files stored on your hard drive by a website. We may use both session Cookies (which expire once you close your web browser) and persistent Cookies (which stay on your computer until you delete them) to provide you with a more personal and interactive experience on our Site. HOW WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
We may use your Personal Information as follows:
- To provide and deliver our Services and other contractual requirements.
- To operate, maintain, and improve our Site and Services.

Payments are processed by our payment provider. We do not store credit card or address information.
- As part of a business deal, or negotiate a business deal, involving the sale or transfer of all or a part of our business or assets. These deals can include any merger, financing, acquisition, or bankruptcy transaction or proceeding.
- For legal, protection, and safety purposes:
- To comply with applicable laws.
- To respond to lawful requests and legal processes.
- In an emergency. This includes protecting the safety of our employees and agents, our clients, or any person.
We may also share aggregated and/or anonymized data with others for their own uses.
We may also use third-party analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) to help us measure traffic and usage trends for the Site and Services. These tools collect information sent by your device or our Site and Services, including the webpages you visit, add-ons, and other information that assists us in improving the Site and Services. We collect and use this analytics information with analytics information from other users so that it cannot reasonably be used to identify any particular individual user.
INFORMATION RIGHTS, CHOICES AND CHANGES
Subject to applicable law, an individual has the right to request from us a copy of what Personal Information that we have collected or to ask to correct or update their Personal Information we maintain. Individuals can also request that we delete their Personal Information from our systems and records. We strive to respond to these requests with 30 days or as required in accordance with applicable law. We may request proof of your identity before acting upon any request. We may not be able to allow you to access certain Personal Information in certain instances, such as, without limitation, if your Personal Information is connected with Personal Information of other users, or for legal reasons. In those instances, we will provide you with an explanation why you cannot obtain your Personal Information. We may also deny your request for deletion or rectification of your Personal Information due to statutory provisions, especially those affecting Company’s accounting, processing of claims, and mandatory data retention, which may prohibit deletion or anonymization.
Whenever you directly provide us with your Personal Information, please be sure it is accurate and complete. We cannot be responsible for any information you provide to us that is incomplete or incorrect.
We will not collect, use, or disclose your Personal information in any ways or for any purposes that are materially different from those set forth herein. However, if we wish to do so in the future, we will obtain your consent first, and offer you the choice to opt-out of such proposed collection, use, or disclosure.

PROJECT LISTINGS THROUGH OUR PLATFORM
Our online platform serves as marketplace to connect our client companies with our candidate talent pool. If you choose to post a project listing via the platform as a client, the project listing will be available to registered users of the platform.

For residents of the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom (UK) or Switzerland we advise that your Personal Information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, which has data protection laws that are different than those in your country and may not be as protective. The United States has not sought or received a finding of “adequacy” from the European Union under Article 45 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). DATA RETENTION AND SECURITY
We will retain your Personal Information for a period of time consistent with the original purpose of collection and to provide you with the Services you have requested, or as long as required to fulfill our legal obligations. To reduce potential exposure, we encourage you to use an email address and password for this Site that is not used anywhere else on the internet.
If you establish an account with us, do not provide your login information, including your password, to another person. We cannot be responsible for a data breach or other incident if a password is used by unauthorized persons.
CHILDREN. The Site and Services are intended to enable our clients to obtain professional services. Accordingly, you must be over 18 to access the Site and Services. We do not knowingly collect the Personal Information of individuals younger than 18.
